Even before I realized that Thomas Sabo’s latest collection was about celebrating love, I was already in line for having my very own Love Bridge engraved. Without giving it much thought, I had them put my name on it. Because I’m intrinsically selfish and self-centered? Thomas Sabo head of PR and communications for Asia Pacific Janice Leung was quick to point out that it was merely self-love — a reality that drives jewelry sales across several continents. Gone are the days when women waited for their significant others to buy them jewelry. These days, we do it ourselves, making the brand’s theme for its latest collection so much more appropriate, among other reasons.

“With all that’s happening around us all over the world, we thought it would be great to celebrate all kinds of love — the love between couples, the love between mother and child, even friendships,” added Lars Schmidt, sales director for Asia.

The launch of the collection at CDP Global Table in Rockwell was called “Different Kinds of Love,” a concept that we’ve been hearing a lot of these last couple of years. Representing the theme were celebrity pairs: BFFs Bubbles Paraiso and Mikaela Lagdameo, mother and daughters Pia, Saab and Clara Magalona, and happily married couple Nicole and Jaime de los Angeles.

“Autumn/winter 2016 is inspired by the whole concept of ‘Together.’ It’s a very universal message, very current. Everybody has someone with whom they spend time. The collection is very diverse,” said Schmidt.

Thomas Sabo, a jewelry brand from Germany known for thoughtful details and precision, releases various lines with the new collection. Artful Treasures offers feminine and powerful interpretations of togetherness with pieces embellished with brilliant cut diamonds and filigree gemstones. The Glam & Soul diamonds range is an upgrade of Thomas Sabo’s eternity rings, together-forever rings, and solitaires. The Triangle Diamonds range offers more subtle pieces. “This is the first time we’re using white, faceted diamonds in the way that we’ve designed them. The Triangle Diamond is very on-trend right now. The Glam & Soul range is a bit more classic,” he said.

Customizable jewelry comes in the Love Bridge line, expanded to include the Love Bands range of rings and Love Coins line of pendants. The Prana series adopts the traditional paisley patterns, floral designs, and the palette of Far Eastern art. New Karma Beads, stretch bracelets, hoop earrings will interest millennial BFFs who want to make their friendships Instagram-official.

Thomas Sabo also unveiled its Watches collection, which includes the Spirit range, which features color and stainless steel. The Karma watch is an elegant piece for women, while the Masculine Rebel Icon watch is a picture of cool.
